Win a Month’s Rent with SpareRoom
A cash prize equal to one month of the winner’s rent, with an equal donation made to Crisis.
SpareRoom’s Live Rent Free for a Year draw awards one cash prize calculated as twelve times the average monthly room rent, including bills, for the winner’s postcode area in the latest SpareRoom Rental Index. This means the payment may be higher or lower than the winner’s actual annual rent.
How to enter
Create or sign in to a free SpareRoom account, open the official prize-draw page and press the enter button before midday on 31 August 2026. No purchase or paid account upgrade is required. One standard entry is permitted, with additional entries available through qualifying referrals, previous SpareRoom rent-draw entries and occasional promotional codes.
Eligibility and winner selection
Entrants must be UK residents aged 18 or over, renting a room or property when the draw opens and not a previous winner of a SpareRoom Live Rent Free draw. The winner is selected by a random computer draw on or around 3 September 2026, contacted by email within seven days of closing and given seven days to accept and provide the required evidence.
Winning UK does not run this competition. Flatshare Limited, trading as SpareRoom, is the promoter.
